About

About QueerRI and how to use the site

This site has been created in collaboration with multiple community members in Rhode Island and nearby in hopes of gathering as many LGBTQ+ resources in one place as possible. Many of the resources listed are geared towards children, adolescents, young adults, and parents/families. The resources are for any and all gender diverse identities and individuals, including trans*, non binary, gender fluid, questioning, agender, Two-Spirit, genderqueer, and all other identities; as well as allies, family members, and friends of gender diverse individuals.

The providers shared on this site are not guaranteed to be supportive or knowledgeable in all areas, rather they have been recommended by members of the community or community groups, or the provider has self-identified as LGBTQ+ inclusive. Please let us know if you have had a positive or negative experience with any of the providers listed using the Feedback button so we can update our site.

If you are looking for something specific, try using the “Search” bar at the top of the page. Or, feel free to explore any page that interests you! Questions, comments, feedback, and concerns are always welcome. You can use the “Feedback” button on the bottom left corner of the page or the “Questions” page.

A note about language

This site is written in hopes of being inclusive to all identities, LGBTQ+ and others. We know that language is important, and the writers of this site have done their best to use the most up to date, inclusive terms. If you feel any words used need to be updated or changed, please let us know.
