Camp Sparkle at The Steelyard

About: Camp Sparkle is a 2-week day camp providing training in the industrial arts. Camp Sparkle is open to ALL 14-18 year olds, including LGBTQ+-identifying students and allies. Camp will run from Monday – Friday, 10 AM-3:30 PM. Eight campers will spend the first week in small-scale metals, learning jewelry and metalsmithing techniques. Having built up their confidence in smaller metals, they will spend the second week on a step up in scale and learn to weld.

FREE Summer Bike Camp LGBTQIA+ Week

Type: Day Camp
About: All campers need to know how to ride a bike and they spend a fun-filled week learning about: Bike handling and bike safety skills, basic bike maintenance; Trail and road riding skills; Scheduled ‘special sessions’ with community partners. We provide the bikes and helmets needed to participate.
Summer at St. Andrews
Location: Barrington, RI

About: CampOUT is a week-long day camp program for queer identifying youth. We welcome kids aged 12-17 from across Rhode Island and South Coast Massachusetts to spend time in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment, where they can build confidence in their identities.  Exciting activities like kayaking, campfire building, ropes course, cycling, theater and art activities are just a part of this camp experience. Also offered are workshops to enhance the sparkle in each of us. There will be LGBTQIA+ specific activities like gender affirming make-up tutorials, queer art/creative writing exploration activities, self-esteem and community building group discussions. Also offered will be LGBTQIA+ speakers who have encouraging stories to share. The camp will culminate with a celebration built up and put on by the campers themselves ensuring everyone leaves with a sense of inclusion in the wonderful communities created at CampOut. Find your people. Find yourself. Build a community. Along with all of these great activities, we’ll also discuss social justice issues in the queer community, gender identity and expression, LGBTQ history, and ways to be active and organized in camper’s local communities.
Oddyssey Teen Camp

About: OTC welcomes LGBTQ+ teenagers, gamers, goths, geeks, artists, activists, and teens with no label at all. At OTC, campers feel safe being exactly who they are.
Harbor Camps (previously Camp Aranu’Tiq)

About: Harbor Camps’ mission is to build confidence, resilience, and community for transgender & non-binary youth and their families through camp experiences. Harbor Camps is for those who feel that they do not fit into the norms our society has prescribed for gender. This includes those who have “transitioned,” those who happen to express their gender differently than others, and those who may experience teasing or bullying because of their gender.

TYEF Youth Camp

About: Our overnight TYEF Camps and Retreats are for transgender and non binary youth in summer, and other seasons to be announced. These retreats are held in a confidential location in New England. They start on a Friday morning and end later afternoon Sunday. Our popular transgender youth camps and retreats are a great mix of fun, self-reflection and a way to build confidence and community. We offer workshops in dance, yoga, swim, arts, sports, hiking and games etc.We also offer support groups where youth can share and learn from each other. Established in 2008, we bring great experience to making this a unique, rewarding, fun and safe time for your child.

About: Rebels of the Moon is a camp built for young women, gender nonconforming and trans youth who are interested in connecting to nature, yoga, social justice, community and radical self-love. We will spend each day focusing on self love, identity, building community, and coming of age, as we explore what it means to step into your personal power and voice.

Bravetrails
Location: Multiple, including Southwest New York

About: Camp Brave Trails is designed for youth ages 12-17, who identify as LGBTQ+, questioning, or an ally. Camp Brave Trails is not an ordinary camp, we are mix between a leadership institute and a summer camp. We welcome youth who have great interest in leadership skill development, activism, and creating a kinder, more just world. Campers of varying leadership levels are welcome to apply, as long as they are eager and enthusiastic to learn. We welcome out-of-state and international campers.
